RockMelon formed in the year 2006 under the name 'The Unlikely Lads' by Anthony Hible and Ben Jowett. Several changes of name were seen until the band settled on 'RockMelon' and since, have never looked back.
Starting off playing in small-time pubs and getting together whenever possible, the band played as a bassless three-piece until 2008 when Joe 'Dingo' Wright was recruited to play lead bass, allowing for their sound to develop with the addition of Wright's bass style.

Since forming, RockMelon have battled to make an impression on the live music scene, never giving up, always soldiering forward to bigger things. They have now had the pleasure of playing alongside musicians such as Adam Ficek of Babyshambles, Esteban, Tastebuds and N.Y.A.A.A. They recorded their debut L.P, 'Arrested For Busking' at Sonic Attack Music under the production of Sam Samson.
Summer 2009 saw RockMelon headline the Blast Festival at Ashfield Show along with the Sugababes and the band were joined by a new drummer, Dom Fallon, in September of the same year.
2010 has seen RockMelon rise through the ranks, ever growing bigger and working with Animal Farm LLP in London to record singles to be released over the year and playing a LIVE set on the radio, being interviewed after for Demon FM.
RockMelon have now played in various venues throughout the UK and continue to do so, rocking off faces and melting inner ears wherever they go.
